Abseiling is a rope skill used to make rapid, safe descents of steep rock slopes and cliff lines and is a valuable tool to access some of the more rugged and spectacular areas in the country.
We conduct regular introductory sessions for the novice where you learn basic technique on local crags. Test yourself on the vast cliff lines of the Blue Mountains, graduating to technical multi-pitch descents to access some of the real wilderness that's out there. We have a range of equipment for hire for the novice including helmets, harnesses and basic safety equipment. So whether it's sliding over the edge of Castle Head, Malaita Point or getting soaked by the spray in a waterfall of the Kanangra-Boyd National Park, add to your personal development and experience the real wild Australia with this heart stopping skill. Come on...give it a go! |
There is nothing better at the height of the hot Australian summer, than floating down a deep, cool ravine on your back, wondering what all the other people are doing!
The sandstone canyons of the Blue Mountains are right on our doorstep & provide some of the finest and most varied canyoning in the world. Canyons vary in style from long pools (just perfect to loll about on an air-mattress) to vertical chasms with thundering waterfalls to negotiate. Our trips vary from lazy to challenging athletic, requiring specialist skills and equipment, reflecting this variety. So whether it's thinking about weight loss as you squeeze through Tigersnake canyon, or just sliding down the cascades of Morwong Deep, try the canyoning experience! Come on...give it a go! |
